This series of monoprints employs found imagery and abstract shapes to construct prints that  the vast, mysteriousness of the open Australian landscape. The limited palette echo the behaviour of light when looking out across a vast landscape, all the colours and forms blend into one as the distance increases.  Flat blocks of colour are balanced with textural additions - the feather, tarletan etc.. In some prints, the presence of the bird is strong and bold, in others it appears lightly, as though it has already left the scene and what remains is the memory.
